To function effectively, robotic automation equipment requires incredibly precise placement of production parts held in place during assembly. If one out of fifty parts is out of alignment, the robots will not produce the designed outcome. Cobb Tool recently created a series of custom machined parts that serve as the nests and guides for an automated assembly machine in the manufacture of complex electrical connectors. Parts had to be identical to assure that the robot would have accurate placement. Cobb Tool’s custom machine parts enable the automated production of many other parts – and in the process made at least one happy robot.
